This, the third in our map updates for 2026, shows Khao San Road having several changes in their Nitespot lineup. Soi Eden map had a large number of changes (percentage-wise) due to the long delay in updating.

Hello,
I notice on your updated maps last month that there is an ' Orbit' bar in Nana Plaza and another one on Soi Nana at the end of the small lane down from Tavern? Are they somehow related?
MIDNITE HOUR:Greetings,
As we have received a couple of queries on this, hopefully we can clear up any ambiguity. There are two separate unrelated "Orbit" Night Entertainment Venues, with different and unique logo/ signage (as per photos above). Both opened approximately within a month of each other at the end of 2025, which may have added to the confusion.
Very little (again) activity on Patpong 1 Road. We noted last month the Wong Barber Shop was closed. H owever we now note hey have rolled out the red carpet again. . -File Photo
A 'For-The-Archives' pic of the Crystal Palace. Note : the SuperPussy / Marilyn Monroe display is advertising that venue on Patpong 1.

PATPONG 2
The Top Light has reopened, after being closed last month. - again. But, as mentioned previously, they open and close like an old screen door a-flappin' in a hurricane. We have no idea if they will be open when you pass by. -File Photo
Yet again, there were no new, or closed, bars this last month on Soi Cowboy. So we are including a couple of "For The Archive" pics. It seems that "New Signage" remains the fastest game on the Soi these days... Immediately below, a bit of hard-to-see signage of the Supernova. Below that; the new @ Corner bar neon.
By the time you read this, the Alice Massage will have taken over lock, stock and nuru from the recently closed Nana 4 Massage on Subsoi Big Mango. Another Rub-A-Dub-Dub.adventure.... -File Photo
SOI NANA - (SOI 4 SUKHUMVIT)
The Bar D. Mare was closed (yet again) when we passed by. We'll check back next 'round and report any changes in status. -File Photo
The Re Re Khaosan have upped their game - live bands (and noise)-wise. It's only rock and roll, but I like it...

KHAO SAN ROAD
The Lucky Beer used to be one of the "power houses" on Khaosan - live music, A Go-Go in the street.... However, this month we see the signage has been removed and the steel shutters have been pulled down and locked to the deck. Push-carts crowd the frontage. Somehow, this last month they just managed to fall off a cliff. -File Photo

The almost-new Rocco Station has taken up the slack (streetside A Go-Go). You all noticed her LED-pierced tongue, and the young lady DJ, right?
Last month we noted the Nalu Nani had called it a day (night). However, when we passed by the other night, it was as if they had never left. Welcome back to the machine. -File Photo
SOI 22 Sukhumvit Rd
Be Bop Bar Cafe was closed when we passed by this time, but we saw a sign out for 'hiring'. We'll check back next round and report any changes in activity levels... -File Photo
SOI 22 Sukhumvit Rd
Lek Massage has popped back out of the crypt and re-rolled out the red carpet after an on-again, off-again period where someone was trying to make up his mind. Keep on keeping on. -File Photo
You may have noticed the Astroturfed Subsoi adjacent to Viva, and a row of tables opposite. That is Viva's 'overflow' area for when they get busy (or when they are renovating the main interior dining room / bar - as they were last week). Rock on...
The Nature Thai Massage & Spa has been replaced by the Namah Massage in the Ambassador Hotel compound. Business as usual.
SOI AMBASSADOR
(Sukhumvit Soi 11)
The Dragon Heart Massage up on the 3rd level has been open for several months. They now have expanded - they have opened the adjacent Dragon Lounge. We haven't been up to see it yet...
What was the (long-standing) Day & Nice bar beer has been taken over by the Welcome Bar. They don't have a sign yet, so they chalked the name up on a small blackboard. Mini-pool bar beer is the name of the game. Welcome to the nightcircus...
The brand-new Jelly Pop (Hot Nuru) abuilding last month, has rolled out the red carpet. They took over the reins from the Jazzy Karaoke Massage in Sub-soi 3. ....Hot nuru?!
SOI DEAD ARTIST (Sukhumvit Soi 33)
As indicated last issue, the Roots Massage has supplanted The Hidden Vault. This gigantic sign faces the main Soi 33, however the entrance is around the corner in Sub-soi 5. Rub-a-Dub-Dub.
While there were no changes in inventory of Nitespots (up or down) on Soi Eden, we noticed that Meeting Bar had nailed up a new bit of signage. It remains a katoey bar.
This month Midnite Hour continues to review Bangkok'sNightlife Scene offering live entertainment, both foreign and local, as found in the bigger hotels, expat Night Entertainment Areas, and other Venues within the City.
The then-recently opened Ploenchit Arcade no longer exists. (It was located on Ploenchit Rd. on the north side of what is the Ploenchit BTS station.) In the years it was open, there were a number of Nitespots that opened, then closed, making way for others to open. One of the first to open there was The Fox.

On Maurice Rocco's return to Thailand from Hong Kong, he either played at, or was the resident musician at a number of Nitespots in Bangkok before returning to his original "home" at Oriental Hotel. The above pic was taken at the Windsor Coffee Shop on Suriwong Road.

Most won't know that A Go-Go dancing in Bangkok was initially a very modest affair. When Rick Menard incorporated it into the offerings at the Grand Prix, his original A Go-Go'ers danced solo (not as a group), fully clothed, and behind a beaded curtain. Initially, partly because he was having trouble with the Men-In-Too-Tight-Uniforms over dancing of any kind, he wasn't featuring Thai dancers. The young lady above is one of Rick's original three English A Go-Go dancers.

The Los 3 Espanoles were an internationally poplular trio from Seville. The guitar players backing a female singer produced a number of popular (latin) record albums and toured extensively in the mid-late 1960's.

The Impossibles were a very popular Thai group playing at various Venues in Bangkok in the mid-to-late '60's. In 1969 they opened their own Night Club, The Impossible Cafe, in the new Ploenchit Arcade.

The Maeva Tahitian Revue from Tahiti was not a formal touring group, but the dancing was just as impressive.

The Bar Again was, as stated, in the Amarin Hotel, located next to Thai Yonok, across the street from the Gaysorn Night Entertainment Area.

Chez Suzanne a popular restaurant billed itself as a 'bar restaurant', but wasn't popular as a 'bar'. On the other hand, Mizu's Kitchen was actually a popular bar-restaurant. Both are long gone, unfortunately...

Just days ago we went into the newly renovated Montien Hotel, hoping to visit their old comfortable Coffee Shop and have a dish of the best pad thai in town. Nope... it was entirely demolished in the renovation, the new restaurant is all glass and shiny tables. But what we did notice was the An An was still there. (Don't ask... Bangkok's once popular "tea dances" died out decades ago.)
AJustin Sola graffito of a revered soccer player (as only England could revere) was vandalized by another graffiti 'artist'. That 'artist' spray-painted a moustache on former soccer star Jeff Hall. (We are not sure how spraying graffiti on other graffiti constitutes 'vandalizing', but what do we know?)
A third graffiti 'artist', Simon Wingfield, restored the original graffiti of soccer player Hall (the before-after pic below), so English soccer-worship can now continue unabated.
